With the win, Capitan upgrades its record to 4-8 on the season. The Tigers host Magdalena (Magdalena, NM) to clash with the Steers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Steers go into the bout with a record of 10-4. Magdalena won 61-28 in their recent non-league bout against Socorro (Socorro, NM)

Next up, the Coyotes clash with the Navajo Pine Warriors (Navajo, NM) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Cottonwood Classical Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 1-14 record after their 63-12 league loss to Tucumcari (Tucumcari, NM).
