The Orting Cardinals basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the host Charles Wright Tarriers to 38 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Thursday.

The Cardinals now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin Pierce for a 2A South Puget Sound contest on Friday, January 12. Orting will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 61-10 non-league loss to Kentlake (Kent, WA). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-4.

The Tarriers (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Vashon Island (Vashon Island, WA). The Pirates come into the 1A Nisqually contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Vashon Island was defeated by Seattle Christian (SeaTac, WA), 45-15, in a league contest.
