In their next game, the Indians face the Jefferson Wildcats (Delphos, OH) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, January 16. Shawnee will attempt to move on its 5-6 season record. The Wildcats enter the game with a 11-1 record after their 68-10 non-league win over Lima Central Catholic (Lima, OH).

With the defeat, Defiance moves to 0-13 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Kenton (Kenton, OH) to face the Wildcats in a Western Buckeye game on Thursday, January 18. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 5-7.
