In Thursday's league outing, the Derryfield Cougars (Manchester, NH) basketball squad edged the host Timberlane Owls (Plaistow, NH), by a margin of 43-38.
The Cougars (6-1) will now prepare for their outing against Souhegan (Amherst, NH). The Sabers go into the Division II outing with a 0-6 record. In their last outing, Souhegan was tipped by Pelham (Pelham, NH), 49-24, in a league outing.
The Owls now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Sanborn Regional for a Division II outing on Tuesday, January 16. Timberlane will clash with a Indians squad coming off a 55-27 league loss to Bishop Brady (Concord, NH). The Indians record now stands at 0-8.
