Missouri High School Basketball - East Newton ripped by McDonald County

In Thursday's league match, the host McDonald County Mustangs basketball team scored a decisive 65-13 triumph over the East Newton Patriots.

In their next game, the Mustangs meet the Seneca Indians (Seneca, MO) in a Big 8 match, on Friday, January 12. McDonald County will attempt to better on its 11-5 season record. The Indians enter the match with a 1-10 record after their 58-20 league loss to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, MO).

With the defeat, East Newton moves to 3-10 on the year. The Patriots host Cassville (Cassville, MO) to meet the Wildcats in a Big 8 match on Thursday, January 25. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 5-6.
