With the win, Haynes Academy upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The host Morris Jeff (New Orleans, LA) to clash with the Pelicans in a 3A District 9 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Pelicans go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Morris Jeff won 49-19 in their recent league bout against Livingston Collegiate Academy (New Orleans, LA)

Next up, the clash with the Lutcher Bulldogs (Lutcher, LA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 13. Wright will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 10-5 record after their 56-16 league win over Morgan City (Morgan City, LA).
