Oswego East Wolves (Oswego, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL), 72-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Oswego East upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Wolves host St. Charles North (St. Charles, IL) to clash with the North Stars in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The North Stars go into the bout with a record of 16-2. St. Charles North won 34-27 in their recent league bout against Geneva (Geneva, IL)

Next up, the Steelmen clash with the Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL) in a SouthWest Prairie - East bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Joliet Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 13-7 record after their 71-63 non-league loss to Naperville North (Naperville, IL).
