The Kiowa County Mavericks (Greensburg, KS) basketball felled the visiting Minneola Wildcats (Minneola, KS), 51-42 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Mavericks (3-5) will now prepare for their test against Kinsley (Kinsley, KS). The Coyotes go into the non-league test with a 2-4 record.

The Wildcats now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Ashland for a non-league test on Friday, January 12. Minneola will encounter a Blue Jays squad coming off a 43-34 non-league loss to South Central (Coldwater, KS). The Blue Jays record now stands at 2-6.
