With the victory, Maple River improves its record to 17-9 on the campaign. The Eagles host Bethlehem Academy (Faribault, MN) to confront the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 12. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 5-7. Bethlehem Academy won 40-35 in their recent league challenge against Kenyon-Wanamingo (Kenyon, MN)

Next up, the Tornadoes confront the Sargent County Bulldogs (Milnor, ND) in a B District 1 challenge, on Monday, January 15. Oakes will attempt to improve on its 8-3 season record.
