Middletown South Eagles (Middletown, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Marlboro Mustangs (Marlboro, NJ), 47-29 in a league bout.
With the win, Middletown South upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to Colts Neck (Colts Neck, NJ) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 6-4. Colts Neck won 58-46 in their recent non-league bout against Shore Regional (West Long Branch, NJ)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Donovan Catholic Griffins (Toms River, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 13. Marlboro will attempt to improve on its 0-10 season record. The Griffins come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 40-30 non-league loss to Toms River East (Toms River, NJ).
