Tatum Coyotes (Tatum, NM) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host New Mexico Military Institute Colts (Roswell, NM), 64-22 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Tatum upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Elida (Elida, NM) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 5-6. Elida won 56-34 in their recent non-league bout against Capitan (Capitan, NM)

Next up, the Colts play the Tularosa Wildcats (Tularosa, NM) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. New Mexico Military Institute will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
