In Saturday's non-league test, the Avalon Black Knights (Wheaton, MD) basketball squad got by the host KIPP DC Legacy College Prep Bulldogs (Washington, DC), by a score of 72-65.
Next, the Black Knights encounter the Lanham Christian Lions (Lanham, MD) in a Maryland Independent test, on Monday, January 13. Avalon will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Lions come into the test with a 10-4 record after their 72-49 non-league win over Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue (Lanham, MD).
The Bulldogs (8-3) will now prepare for their test against Washington Latin Public Charter School (Washington, DC). The Lions come into the PCSAA A test with a 1-8 record. In their last test, Washington Latin Public Charter School was nipped by Washington Leadership Academy (Washington, DC), 49-47, in a league test.
