In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Spencerville Bearcats basketball team scored a good 60-40 win over the Bath Wildcats.

The Bearcats (12-0) will now prepare for their contest against Jefferson (Delphos, OH). The Wildcats come into the Northwest contest with a 3-8 record. In their last contest, Jefferson was topped by Parkway (Rockford, OH), 54-52, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Memorial Roughriders (St. Marys, OH) in a Western Buckeye contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Bath will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record. The Roughriders come into the contest with a 4-7 record after their 34-33 league win over Wapakoneta (Wapakoneta, OH).
