Maine High School Basketball - Thornton Academy victorious over Cheverus

In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Thornton Academy Trojans basketball team scored a good 61-49 triumph over the Cheverus Stags.
The Trojans (9-2) will now prepare for their contest against South Portland (South Portland, ME). The Red Riots go into the AA South contest with a 10-2 record. In their last contest, South Portland topped Oxford Hills (South Paris, ME), 55-52, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Stags confront the Sanford Spartans (Sanford, ME) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Cheverus will attempt to better on its 9-2 season record. The Spartans go into the contest with a 4-7 record after their 62-51 league loss to Thornton Academy (Saco, ME).
