New York High School Basketball - Cortland sneaks past Vernon-Verona-Sherrill

The Cortland Purple Tigers basketball team scored 52 points and limited the host Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils to 46 in the Purple Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Purple Tigers now possess a 6-2 record. They play next when they host OnTech for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14. Cortland will play a Wolves team coming off a 59-37 league win over Mater Dei Academy (Syracuse, NY). The Wolves record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Red devils travel to Central Valley Academy (Ilion, NY) to play the Thunder in a Section 3 Tri-Valley - Pioneer game on Tuesday, January 14. The Thunder go into the game with a record of 7-3.
