The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the San Joaquin Memorial Panthers (Fresno, CA) and the visiting Garces Memorial Rams (Bakersfield, CA), observed San Joaquin Memorial's basketball team overwhelm Garces Memorial by a score of 87-48.

The Panthers (15-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Sanger (Sanger, CA). The Apaches come into the non-league challenge with a 14-5 record. In their last challenge, Sanger was routed by Bullard (Fresno, CA), 71-49, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Rams encounter the Stockdale Mustangs (Bakersfield, CA) in a South Yosemite - River challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Garces Memorial will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 66-38 league loss to Frontier (Bakersfield, CA).
