The Heyworth Hornets basketball team scored 65 points and limited the host Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers to 53 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Hornets now possess a 8-8 record. They play next when they travel to El Paso-Gridley for a Heart of Illinois game on Tuesday, January 14. Heyworth will confront a Titans team coming off a 57-45 league loss to Tri-Valley (Downs, IL). The Titans record now stands at 11-4.

The Hilltoppers now own a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Illini Central for a Tomahawk match on Tuesday, January 14. Mt. Pulaski will face a Cougars squad coming off a 83-82 non-league win over Lutheran (Springfield, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 10-6.
