In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Parkway Panthers basketball team scored a close 54-52 win over the Jefferson Wildcats.

The Panthers (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against New Bremen (New Bremen, OH). The Cardinals come into the Midwest contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, New Bremen edged Arcanum (Arcanum, OH), 51-35, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Spencerville Bearcats (Spencerville, OH) in a Northwest contest, on Friday, January 17. Jefferson will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Bearcats come into the contest with a 12-0 record after their 60-40 non-league win over Bath (Lima, OH).
