California High School Basketball - La Costa Canyon routs Steele Canyon

In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting La Costa Canyon Mavericks basketball team scored a big 77-53 triumph over the Steele Canyon Cougars.
The Mavericks (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against Rancho Buena Vista (Vista, CA). The Longhorns go into the Avocado contest with a 10-7 record. In their last contest, Rancho Buena Vista was trounced by San Joaquin Memorial (Fresno, CA), 81-56, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cougars confront the Mount Miguel Matadors (Spring Valley, CA) in a Grossmont - Valley contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Steele Canyon will attempt to better on its 9-9 season record. The Matadors go into the contest with a 6-8 record after their 48-46 non-league loss to Central (El Centro, CA).
