The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Lake Forest Academy Caxys (Lake Forest, IL) and the visiting Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves (Lansing, IL), observed Lake Forest Academy's basketball team edge Thornton Fractional South by a score of 49-48.
The Caxys (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Northridge (Niles, IL). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 13-3 record. In their last challenge, Northridge edged Francis W. Parker (Chicago, IL), 89-58, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Red Wolves encounter the Reavis Rams (Burbank, IL) in a South Suburban challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Thornton Fractional South will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 3-11 record after their 56-30 non-league loss to St. Rita (Chicago, IL).
