The Marion Local Flyers basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting Van Wert Cougars to 37 in the Flyers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Flyers now have a 11-0 record. They play next when they travel to St. John's for a Midwest game on Friday, January 17.

With the loss, Van Wert falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Cougars host Wapakoneta (Wapakoneta, OH) to confront the Redskins in a Western Buckeye game on Friday, January 17. The Redskins go into the game with a record of 5-7. Wapakoneta won 57-43 in their recent non-league game against Perry (Lima, OH)
