The Sandburg Eagles basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Oak Forest Bengals to 45 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Eagles now have a 10-7 record. They play next when they host Lincoln-Way East for a SouthWest Suburban game on Tuesday, January 14. Sandburg will confront a Griffins team coming off a 56-48 non-league loss to Brother Rice (Chicago, IL). The Griffins record now stands at 9-8.

With the loss, Oak Forest falls to 10-7 on the campaign. The Bengals host Oak Lawn (Oak Lawn, IL) to confront the Spartans in a South Suburban game on Tuesday, January 14. The Spartans go into the game with a record of 11-6. Oak Lawn lost 72-69 in their recent non-league game against Proviso East (Maywood, IL)
