The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Waverly Wolverines (Waverly, NY) and the visiting Whitney Point Eagles (Whitney Point, NY), observed Waverly's basketball team overwhelm Whitney Point by a score of 68-44.

The Wolverines (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Seton Catholic Central (Binghamton, NY). The Saints come into the Section 4 Southern Tier - Central challenge with a 8-1 record. In their last challenge, Seton Catholic Central trounced Chenango Forks (Binghamton, NY), 84-62, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Dryden Lions (Dryden, NY) in a Section 4 Interscholastic - North Large challenge, on Monday, January 13. Whitney Point will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record.
