The Algona Bulldogs basketball team scored 59 points and limited the host Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Cardinals to 41 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bulldogs now have a 7-3 record. They play next when they host Fort Dodge for a non-league game on Monday, January 13. Algona will confront a Dodgers team coming off a 57-39 non-league loss to Sioux City West (Sioux City, IA). The Dodgers record now stands at 4-6.

With the loss, Garner-Hayfield/Ventura falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to North Iowa (Buffalo Center, IA) to confront the Bison in a North Iowa game on Tuesday, January 14. The Bison go into the game with a record of 2-10. North Iowa won 70-34 in their recent non-league game against Eagle Grove (Eagle Grove, IA)
