Illini Bluffs Tigers (Glasford, IL) fans went home pleased Saturday as they observed their basketball team knock off the visiting Athens Warriors (Athens, IL), 41-32 in a league challenge.

The Tigers (13-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Elmwood (Elmwood, IL). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 11-9 record. In their last challenge, Elmwood was knocked off by Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL), 65-25, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Warriors encounter the Illini Central/Greenview (Mason City, IL) in a Sangamo challenge, on Monday, January 13. Athens will attempt to improve on its 11-7 season record. The come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 42-37 non-league loss to Stark County (Toulon, IL).
