In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] Cougars basketball team scored a close 44-43 triumph over the Bowman County co-op [Bowman/Scranton] Bulldogs.

The Cougars (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against White Shield (Roseglen, ND). The Warriors go into the B District 8 contest with a 0-5 record.

In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the Hettinger/Scranton Black Devils (Hettinger, ND) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Bowman County co-op [Bowman/Scranton] will attempt to better on its 6-3 season record. The Black Devils go into the contest with a 4-5 record after their 62-16 non-league win over Bison (Bison, SD).
