The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Nome-Beltz Nanooks (Nome, AK) and the visiting Lumen Christi Archangels (Anchorage, AK), observed Nome-Beltz's basketball team knock off Lumen Christi by a score of 33-24.
The Nanooks (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Shishmaref (Shishmaref, AK). The Northern Lights come into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Shishmaref was knocked off by Napaaqtugmiut (Noatak, AK), 59-23, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Archangels encounter the Delta Huskies (Delta Junction, AK) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 16. Lumen Christi will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 54-36 non-league loss to Tok (Tok, AK).
