The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Powers Lake/Burke Central (Powers Lake, ND) and the host Mandaree Warriors (Mandaree, ND), observed Powers Lake/Burke Central's basketball team knock off Mandaree by a score of 48-29.
The (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Our Redeemer's Christian (Minot, ND). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 5-6 record. In their last challenge, Our Redeemer's Christian was knocked off by Kenmare/Bowbells (Kenmare, ND), 60-36, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Warriors encounter the White Shield Warriors (Roseglen, ND) in a B District 8 challenge, on Friday, January 17. Mandaree will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record.
