Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Neshannock defeats Mars

January 11, 2025: New Castle, PA 16105

The Neshannock Lancers (New Castle, PA) basketball were winner over the visiting Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA), 49-33 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Lancers now possess a 12-2 record. They play next when they host Shenango for a WPIAL 2A 1 bout on Monday, January 13. Neshannock will play a Wildcats team coming off a 43-26 league loss to Freedom Area (Freedom, PA). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Mars falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Fightin' planets travel to Chartiers Valley (Bridgeville, PA) to play the Colts in a WPIAL 5A 3 bout on Monday, January 13. The Colts go into the bout with a record of 7-5. Chartiers Valley lost 72-41 in their recent non-league bout against South Fayette (McDonald, PA)
