Washington High School Basketball - Squalicum thwarts Mt. Baker

The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Squalicum Storm (Bellingham, WA) and the visiting Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA), observed Squalicum's basketball team knock off Mt. Baker by a score of 50-38.
The Storm (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, WA). The Bulldogs come into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, Mount Vernon prevailed over Ferndale (Ferndale, WA), 54-37, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Mountaineers battle the Lynden Christian Lyncs (Lynden, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Mt. Baker will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Lyncs come into the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 67-35 non-league win over Bainbridge (Bainbridge Island, WA).
