The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the O'Neill Eagles (O'Neill, NE) and the visiting Ponca Indians (Ponca, NE), observed O'Neill's basketball team overcome Ponca by a margin of 48-39.

The Eagles (7-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Ainsworth (Ainsworth, NE). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 2-9 record.

In their next game, the Indians battle the Guardian Angels Central Catholic Bluejays (West Point, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Ponca will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record. The Bluejays come into the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 65-50 non-league win over Howells-Dodge (Howells, NE).
