In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Spanaway Lake Sentinels basketball team scored a good 36-28 triumph over the Puyallup Vikings.

The Sentinels (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Curtis (University Place, WA). The Vikings go into the non-league contest with a 3-11 record. In their last contest, Curtis was toppled by Bonney Lake (Bonney Lake, WA), 60-25, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Vikings confront the Olympia Bears (Olympia, WA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, January 14. Puyallup will attempt to advance on its 4-9 season record. The Bears enter the battle with a 10-4 record after their 69-28 non-league loss to Sumner (Sumner, WA).
