In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Ray Bearcats basketball team scored a big 59-16 triumph over the San Miguel Vipers.
The Bearcats (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against San Manuel (San Manuel, AZ). The Miners go into the 1A East contest with a 1-9 record. In their last contest, San Manuel was trounced by Ray (Kearny, AZ), 31-30, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Vipers confront the Desert Christian Eagles (Tucson, AZ) in a 2A South contest, on Wednesday, January 15. San Miguel will attempt to better on its 0-13 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 6-9 record after their 53-15 league loss to Tombstone (Tombstone, AZ).
