The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the William Allen Canaries (Allentown, PA) and the visiting Upper Perkiomen Indians (Pennsburg, PA), observed William Allen's basketball team knock off Upper Perkiomen by a score of 49-31.

The Canaries (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Liberty (Bethlehem, PA). The Hurricanes come into the Lehigh Valley challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, Liberty prevailed over Nazareth Area (Nazareth, PA), 64-62, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Indians encounter the Boyertown Bears (Boyertown, PA) in a Pioneer challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Upper Perkiomen will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 51-42 non-league win over Hatboro-Horsham (Horsham, PA).
