The Niwot Cougars basketball team scored 40 points and limited the host Brighton Bulldogs to 20 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Cougars now possess a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Fairview for a game on Tuesday, January 14. Niwot will play a Knights team coming off a 51-10 league win over Longmont (Longmont, CO). The Knights record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Brighton falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Prairie View (Henderson, CO) to play the Thunderhawks in a game on Tuesday, January 14. The Thunderhawks go into the game with a record of 1-4. Prairie View lost 54-12 in their recent league game against Riverdale Ridge (Thornton, CO)
