Next, the Panthers face the Alexander Bulldogs (Laredo, TX) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, January 14. Weslaco will attempt to advance on its 11-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 0-2 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to Brandeis (San Antonio, TX).

The Tigers (4-2) will now prepare for their game against Flour Bluff (Corpus Christi, TX). The Hornets enter the 5A Region 4 District 29 game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Flour Bluff was overwhelmed by Alamo Heights (San Antonio, TX), 4-0, in a non-league game.
