Stafford Spartans (Stafford, TX) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Fort Bend Kempner Cougars (Sugar Land, TX), 4-2 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Stafford advances its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Sweeny (Sweeny, TX) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 4A Region 3 District 21 test on Thursday, January 23. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 5-4. Sweeny won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Wharton (Wharton, TX)

The Cougars now have a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Santa Fe for a non-league test on Thursday, January 16. Fort Bend Kempner will clash with a Indians team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Canyon Lake (Fischer, TX). The Indians record now stands at 3-1.
