In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Benedictine Bengals ice hockey team scored a close 7-1 triumph over the Elyria Catholic Panthers.

The Bengals (4-17) will now prepare for their contest against Mentor (Mentor, OH). The Cardinals come into the contest with a 13-8 record. In their last contest, Mentor got by Hudson (Hudson, OH), 6-3, in a league contest.
