Rhode Island High School Ice Hockey - St. George's knocks off Pomfret School

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host St. George's Dragons ice hockey team scored a close 5-2 triumph over the Pomfret School Griffins.

The Dragons (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Rivers (Weston, MA). The Red Wings come into the contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Rivers by Holderness (Plymouth, NH), 5-2, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Griffins battle the Winchendon Wapiti (Winchendon, MA) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, January 15. Pomfret School will attempt to better on its 8-5 season record. The Wapiti come into the contest with a 8-9 record after their 15-0 league win over Wilbraham & Monson Academy (Wilbraham, MA).
