The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM) and the visiting Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls (Carlsbad, NM), observed Mayfield's basketball team overcome Carlsbad by a score of 57-37.

The Trojans (8-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Silver (Silver City, NM). The Fighting Colts come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record.

In their next game, the Cavemen/Cavegirls battle the Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Carlsbad will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record.
