Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Nacogdoches Dragons (Nacogdoches, TX) and the host Pine Tree Pirates (Longview, TX), saw Nacogdoches's soccer squad hold off Pine Tree by a count of 2-1.

The Dragons (4-0) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TX). The Tigers enter the 5A Region 2 District 10 battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, Mt. Pleasant Memorial (Wichita Falls, TX), 0-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Pirates battle the Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers (Frisco, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 17. Pine Tree will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record.
