In Thursday's non-league outing, the Almond-Bancroft Eagles (Almond, WI) basketball squad felled the visiting Elcho Hornets (Elcho, WI), by a margin of 62-52.
The Eagles (10-2) will now prepare for their outing against Wild Rose (Wild Rose, WI). The Wildcats go into the Central Wisconsin - South outing with a 4-7 record. In their last outing, Wild Rose was beaten by Berlin (Berlin, WI), 72-45, in a non-league outing.
The Hornets now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Florence for a Northern Lakes bout on Monday, January 16.
