Anacortes Seahawks (Anacortes, WA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Bellingham Bayhawks (Bellingham, WA), 57-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Anacortes upgrades its record to 12-1 on the season. The Seahawks travel to Sehome (Bellingham, WA) to clash with the Mariners in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Mariners go into the bout with a record of 10-1. Sehome won 78-46 in their recent league bout against Sedro-Woolley (Sedro-Woolley, WA)

Next up, the Bayhawks clash with the Meadowdale Mavericks (Lynnwood, WA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 13. Bellingham will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Mavericks go into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 59-46 league win over Marysville-Pilchuck (Marysville, WA).
