Wasilla Warriors (Wasilla, AK) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Chugiak Mustangs (Chugiak, AK), 76-71 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wasilla upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Warriors travel to Dimond (Anchorage, AK) to clash with the Lynx in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Lynx go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Dimond won 70-28 in their recent non-league bout against Anchorage Christian (Anchorage, AK)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Eagle River Wolves (Eagle River, AK) in a 4A Cook Inlet bout, on Monday, January 23. Chugiak will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 51-48 league loss to South Anchorage (Anchorage, AK).
