Kiowa Indians (Kiowa, CO) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Deer Trail Eagles (Deer Trail, CO), 40-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Kiowa upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Indians travel to Gilpin County (Black Hawk, CO) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-5.

Next up, the Eagles play the Elbert Bulldogs (Elbert, CO) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 19. Deer Trail will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 84-62 non-league loss to Limon (Limon, CO).
