Eastside College Prep Panthers (East Palo Alto, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting University Prep Academy Golden Eagles (San Jose, CA), 42-24 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Eastside College Prep upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Sacred Heart Prep (Atherton, CA) to play the Gators in a West Bay bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Gators come into the bout with a record of 7-4. Sacred Heart Prep won 82-47 in their recent non-league bout against Stuart Hall (San Francisco, CA)

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Cristo Rey Lions (San Jose, CA) in a Private School - South bout, on Friday, January 13. University Prep Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 7-8 record after their 50-32 league win over Cindy Avitia (San Jose, CA).
