Maine High School Basketball - Wells edges Freeport

The Wells Warriors (Wells, ME) basketball nipped the host Freeport Falcons (Freeport, ME), 52-45 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Warriors (4-6) will now prepare for their test against Old Orchard Beach (Old Orchard Beach, ME). The Seagulls go into the non-league test with a 9-0 record. In their last test, Old Orchard Beach got by Maranacook (Readfield, ME), 86-70, in a non-league test.
The Falcons now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Yarmouth for a non-league test on Saturday, January 14. Freeport will encounter a Clippers squad coming off a 55-51 league loss to Leavitt (Turner, ME). The Clippers record now stands at 4-4.
