Simeon Wolverines (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Hyde Park Thunderbirds (Chicago, IL), 68-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Simeon upgrades its record to 15-1 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Archbishop Stepinac (White Plains, NY) to clash with the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Sunday, January 15. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 7-4. Archbishop Stepinac won 63-49 in their recent league bout against Iona Prep (New Rochelle, NY)

Next up, the Thunderbirds clash with the Northview Wildcats (Grand Rapids, MI) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Hyde Park will attempt to upgrade on its 15-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 7-1 record after their 55-41 non-league win over Forest Hills Central (Grand Rapids, MI).
