Middletown Blue Dragons (Middletown, CT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lewis Mills Spartans (Burlington, CT), 62-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Middletown upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Blue Dragons host Weaver (Hartford, CT) to play the Beavers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Beavers go into the bout with a record of 7-0. Weaver won 52-45 in their recent league bout against Academy of Science and Innovation (New Britain, CT)

Next up, the Spartans play the Litchfield Cowboys (Litchfield, CT) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Lewis Mills will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Cowboys go into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 54-42 league loss to Gilbert (Winsted, CT).
