New Mexico High School Basketball - Mesa Vista thwarts Raton

The Mesa Vista Trojans (Ojo Caliente, NM) basketball knocked off the visiting Raton Tigers (Raton, NM), 58-45 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Trojans (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Menaul (Albuquerque, NM). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 7-4 record. In their last test, Menaul notched a victory over Moriarty (Moriarty, NM), 63-46, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to West Las Vegas for a 3A District 2 test on Tuesday, January 17. Raton will encounter a Dons squad coming off a 86-51 non-league loss to Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM). The Dons record now stands at 8-6.
